Specbuilder Project 1: Safe Driving Campaign

Through this ad I wish to promote safe driving and responsible drinking. It is shown using the beer pong game. Beer pong is a drinking game which is often played by two teams with two or more members in each team.Safe driving is important. It is important to oneself and to others. Alcohol dampens the drinker’s alertness and cognitive functions. A driver is 11 times more likely than a non-drinking driver to be involved in a crash.Take the assistance of others when drunk. Always drink responsibly and never play both the games of drink and drive. Choose either. I worked on the illustration and copy of this advertisement.

Specbuilder Project 2: IKEA KIWI

Ikea is the first brand that comes to the mind when it comes to furniture. Its ready availability, great designs and attractive colors simply draw us towards their products. Ikea has always been popular. Ikea is notorious for their creative and impressive print ads. Through this ad I have attempted to capture the ikea advertising spirit through the introduction of a mock furniture called the KIWI. Since the furniture is shaped like the kiwi fruit. It also represents the cocoon one would like to nestle themselves into. It is perfect for those cozy Sunday afternoons. The caption reads crawl into your kiwi cocoon and enjoy your sukoon (peace). I worked on the copy and the design of this ad.

Specbuilder Project 3: Lacoste Sweatshirt

Lacoste is a brand founded by Rene Lacoste, a legendary tennis player. Lacoste started an unexpected protest of dressing norms in the 1930s tennis circuit. He soon built a brand that would resonate with people globally. The brand is best known for their Polos pinned with the memorable crocodile. In this ad, I have envisioned and visualised the brand’s boldness in a sweatshirt. Which is a representation of the tenacity carried by Lacoste himself on the court, which is also representative of a crocodile’s ability. I worked on the copy, the sweat shirt mockup and illustration of the entire design.

Specbuilder Project 4: Pepsodent Germicheck

Pepsodent is one of the leading toothpaste brands. I personally have rarely used it. However, I have had a good experience. Here is my take on the Ad. Through this ad i wish to promote hygiene in general not limited to oral hygiene. When considering the advertisement in isolation, the general hygiene is subtly pointed out (according to me) through the corona like germs on the ad. When one looks at the advertisement and the germs in specific, the first thing that comes to mind is the form of the coronavirus. This immediately reminds of sanitising and maintaining general hygiene for our well being. When the advertisement is viewed as a whole, it shows how the elements of the toothpaste fight like warriors fighting to prevent germs from infecting their kingdom which are teeth and the mouth. I worked on the idea, graphic design, typography and the copywriting of this advertisement.

Specbuilder Project 5: G Shock 5000

Casio g-shock is known for its sporty, stylish, rugged and colorful looks. From a commoner to celebrities rocking it. It has certainly become a piece of accessory associated with youth. This advertisement was created by a team of three. I worked on the idea conceptualisation, scripting of the voiceover, cinematography and lighting.I am also the proud owner of the g-shock 5000 ( 5000 is fictitious, i don't know the name of my g shock model).

Self Advertisement

Through the self advertisement I shed some light upon myself. “Got a design 911?” talks about a design emergency in the obvious manner, however when other emergencies come up, i'm ready to help. It is reflective of my ready to help nature. The design doctor is further word play on the emergency and how doctors are one of the first points of contacts. As a design doctor I offer all design services. Whether it is to develop a design from scratch or to fix and mend existing design. I am a senior designer who can offer premium treatment to your design needs. I worked on the copy and illustration of the advertisement.

Public Service Announcement

Fake news is information that is incorrect or misleading and is presented as news. It is frequently used to harm a person's or entity's reputation or profit from advertising income or for political advantage. A public service advertisement can not only persuade customers to engage in beneficial behaviours such as detecting phoney information, but it can also show promise in developing strategies to make people resistant to the temptation of fake news, similar to how a vaccination protects against contagious diseases. This public service announcement was a project done by five members. I worked on the editing of the video and the scripting of the voice over.
